On May 22, 2015, the day was sunny with a gentle breeze. On this wonderful occasion, the company organized a two-day tour to Xiangshan and Shipu for employees, aiming to enrich their leisure time and relieve work fatigue.
On May 22, 2015, the day was sunny with a gentle breeze. On this wonderful occasion, the company organized a two-day tour to Xiangshan and Shipu for employees, aiming to enrich their leisure time and relieve work fatigue.
On the first day, we first arrived in Shipu and headed to the nationally recognized “AAAA-rated Tourist Area”—the Songlan Mountain Coastal Resort. With its stunning coastal scenery, rich maritime culture, and well-equipped leisure and vacation facilities, this resort boasts a unique charm: mountains connect to mountains, beaches stretch endlessly, and each spot exudes its own distinctive flair. The sandy beach is smooth and flat as a carpet, with sand so fine it feels like silk. Staff members enjoy playing in the sand under the sun, splashing in the waves, and simply can’t bring themselves to leave.

Next, we headed to Xinqiao—the Xiangshan Film Studio. With Lingyan Mountain serving as the grand backdrop, the natural scenery here is breathtakingly beautiful. Within the studio grounds, you’ll find a variety of village streets, workshops, shops, and residential buildings—all seamlessly blending film and television culture with tourism and leisure. Being immersed in this environment gives you an uncanny sense of having traveled back in time. That day, we were especially fortunate to catch a glimpse of the filming of “The Great Bombing,” starring Nicholas Tse. Although we didn’t get to see Nicholas Tse himself, just being able to witness the filming process firsthand made the trip well worth it.

The next day, we arrived at Xiangshan and visited the “Fishing Harbor Ancient Town.” The ancient town of Shipu is built along the mountainside, overlooking both the hills and the sea—a place famously described as “a city perched atop a harbor, with mountains nestled within the city.” As we listened to our guide’s explanations and admired the Ming and Qing dynasty buildings left behind by the fishermen, as well as their age-old fishing techniques, we deeply felt the centuries of vicissitudes this ancient town has endured and the wisdom and hard work of its fishermen.

Finally, we took a cruise for a [round-island tour], strolling through the海上画廊—a journey that truly allowed us to savor the breathtaking beauty of Shipu Harbor, where mountains and sea blend seamlessly. The tour around the island passed by the Taiwan Compatriot Wharf, Tangtou Port, Tongqian Reef, Tongwa Gate, Tongwa Gate Bridge, Dongmen Island, Dui Mian Shan Island, Xia Wan Men Waterway, Pearl Island, and Shipu Harbor itself. As we gazed out at the boundless ocean, watched ships sailing into the distance on their fishing expeditions, and listened to the soothing sound of the waves, it felt as if all our fatigue had been carried away by the gentle lapping of the sea...

As our tour of the roundabout came to an end, we hopped into the car and headed back to our cozy and beautiful home, bringing our unforgettable two-day trip to a close.
